Doesn’t it make sense for me to select a large “name” firm?
In most cases, the answer is usually “no.” Most of the well-known larger firms are commission-based; in other words, they maintain obligatory or proprietary affiliations with brokers/dealers, mutual fund companies, or insurance companies.

It is in their best interest to “churn” your account so that they can earn a profit. At Barker Group, our success is aligned with yours: if you don’t profit, we don’t profit. It’s the way strategic wealth management should be.

How does Barker Financial charge for its services?
We charge on a fee-only basis, with our fees based on a percentage of the assets we manage. We suggest only non-commission investments to help you grow your portfolio.

When you say “fee only”, does that mean I’m charged for your time or research?
Absolutely not. As our client, you are never charged extra fees for the time we spend answering any or all of your questions. Our commitment is to building a relationship with you in addition to your bottom line.

Does Barker Financial have a minimum portfolio size?
We are strategic wealth management advisors and as such, concentrate on individuals and businesses that have already established a certain modicum of wealth. Our minimum portfolio size is $500,000.
