Albert M. Loomis:
Managing A Profit-Sharing Trust

Albert Loomis is a CFO in charge of a growing profit sharing trust, established over two decades ago for the benefit of the company’s 75 employees. The past couple of years, he has become increasingly discontented with the current insurance company in charge of managing the trust. Compared to other trust management companies, the fees have become expensive and the portfolio performance is poor. Worse, Mr. Loomis gets the runaround whenever he calls to request an update.

Objectives and Recommendations

As a bonded ERISA fiduciary, Barker Financial Group was brought in to manage the trust. We recommended a broader diversification of assets to help manage excess risk. Through this proper asset allocation, we improved performance and soundly met the expectations of the CFO/CEO.
